Neem Seed Oil (NSO)

Ecots Neem Seed Oil (NSO) is extracted from the seeds of the neem tree. It containes the maximum percentage of the  biologically active compounds such as azadirachtin, meliantriol, salannin & nimbin. The main active compounds has the efficiency of a broad-spectrum botanical insecticide, miticide and fungicide. Since  Azadiiractin is heat sensitive, the qulity of Ecots Neem Seed Oil is judged by its extraction process.

Ecots Neem Seed Oil (NSO)  is mainly extracted in conventional expeller methods through heat or steam so that the recovery of oil is high and makes it more commercially viable; however, since Azadiractin is UV & heat sensitive, the concentration of azadiractin in the extracted oil is very low (300 ppm) . Cold pressed extracted neem oil or virgin neem oil is the only means of preserving the attributes of the active ingredients(>1600 ppm).
